If you have any people involved in your thesis research, please indicate this to Lynn Thomas ASAP!

An example of having people involved in your work: tracking people’s eye movements as they read the screen content… that counts as having human subjects!

There are policies about the use of humans in research (yes, even non-medical) and there are forms that must be filled out for the UIC Office of Protection for Research Subjects [OPRS]. This link should give you some idea of the requirements that the professors and students must adhere to and the restrictions on human subject research here at UIC.
